Denninger Custom Finials
MacEwen - Gainesville, FL
These finials were crafted of copper in 1994, following the exact drawings
provided by the architect,
for a French Norman residence in Gainesville, Florida.
Two fancy copper roof vents, each being a pair of octagonal venting copper
cupolas on a
unique sweeping curved base, were completely patinated with Denninger's secret
hot verdigris patina.
Left: a pair of square-based finials crafted to match historic turned-wood
finials.
Right: intricate venting finials that were constructed on a framework to match
the pitch of the Vermont slate roof. These copper roof decorations were
designed by the MacEwen Group of Florida and Georgia,
an architectural firm specializing in European-style buildings.
