Denninger Traditional Finials

Denninger Lighthouse Finial{short description of image}Noank, CT Lighthouse Finial

Lighthouse Finial

This finial is designed to be reminiscent of those seen on many traditional lighthouses. We have provided this design many times for other classic structures, residential and commercial buildings.

The cut stone lighthouse in Noank, Connecticut, on the Long Island Sound, was built in 1868. Hassinger Architects FAIA, of Moorestown, NJ, restored the lighthouse and turned it into a private residence. We met Mr. Herman Hassinger at the AIA Expo in Boston in 1992, and were pleased to be chosen to craft a replica of the original lighthouse finial for the beautiful clapboard addition.

The photo on the right shows the restoration of the Noank, Connecticut lighthouse. The original finial is on the stone lighthouse on the right. Denninger's replication is on the attached residence on the left.
